Sunday Night Singing!

Old-Fashioned Singing… THIS Sunday Night!

We are kicking off our Share Group “break” for the months of November & December in style this Sunday night… with an old-fashioned Sunday night singing!  Everyone is invited to come and lift up your voices in praise to the Lord, to praise Him in song and to sing of his wonderful works.  What a great season of Share Groups we have had and what a wonderful way to kick off our break than to come together as a congregation in praise on Sunday night.  Invite your friends and plan for a great night together.

We have several great Sunday evenings planned over the next couple of months and I encourage all to participate.  With our groups finished for the year, if you haven’t participated in a group or in the Sunday night assembly in a while, now is a great time to come back and join in!  On Sunday night, November 18, Bro. William Coffey will be a special guest speaker and the Mayberry Street congregation our special guests.  Afterwards, we’ll enjoy an evening of desserts & finger foods together.  One Sunday evening, the young men from our Youth Group will lead us.  I hope you’ll make Sunday nights a priority for you and your family over these next few weeks.

Tennessee Children’s Home Coin Drive

The Tennessee Children’s Home was ecstatic to receive the outpouring of food and goods that were donated by this congregation for their annual food drive over the last couple of weeks and they wish to express their thanks to all who made their generous donations!  As an ongoing way to help and contribute to the work of the Children’s Home, we have placed “change boxes” in each of the classrooms and around the building.  I want to encourage you to drop your spare change into one of these boxes on a regular basis which will go directly to that wonderful ministry.  I especially encourage our young people to bring their loose change with them to Bible class.

Fall Festival

I want to thank all those who helped plan a wonderful Sunday evening last night out at the Kilpatrick farm for our Fall Festival.  It was a bit “chilly” but the food was warm and the fellowship was even warmer!  Thanks to Joel for the games for the children… to the Share Groups for the preparing the food… to all those who participated in the hay ride and especially to Keith and to Janie Kilpatrick for being outstanding hosts for a wonderful night of fun and fellowship!  I know everyone enjoyed it.

We also want to encourage all of our young people to finish with their “trick-or-treating” fun early on Wednesday night and join us for a night of fun and Bible classes on Wednesday evening.  Our classes will continue as usual and we welcome you to wear your costume and invite your friends to be with you for Bible class.
