Sis. Marie Cummins

Our hearts were saddened today to learn of the passing of Sis. Marie Cummins who passed away Thursday evening.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her wonderful family. 

The following is information provided by Higgins Funeral Home…

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Askins Cummins, age 73, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 2PM Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Black and Rev. Todd Gaskill officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery beside her husband William Joseph Cummins, Jr. Mrs. Cummins passed away Thursday night at Lincoln Medical Center.

 

            She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late David and Iris Archer Askins. Mrs. Cummins was employed by Lincoln Paving and was a member of the Washington Street Church of Christ.

 

            Survivors include three children, Joe Cummins and wife Pam, Betsy Cummins and Charlie, Fran Locker and husband Joey all of Fayetteville, two sisters Myra Askins and Marion Grant both of Fayetteville, dear friend Carol Hardin of Fayetteville, grandchildren Will Locker and wife Stephanie of Fayetteville, Sheley Cowley and husband Chad of Fayetteville, Tina Balch and husband Robert of East Limestone, AL, Joe Cummins IV and wife Adrienne and Jake Berzett of Fayetteville and five great grandchildren.

 

            Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening 5-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
