Bro. Harwell Clark

We lost a dear brother in Christ yesterday with the passing of Bro. Harwell Clark.  Visitation with the family will be this evening (Wed) from 4-8pm at Higgins funeral home.  A funeral service will be Thursday at 11AM.

Bro. Harwell Clark

We lost a dear brother in Christ early this morning with the passing of Bro. Harwell Clark. He passed away about 5:30am Tuesday morning, the 24th, at Lincoln Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mr. Henry Harwell Clark, age 85, of Fayetteville will be conducted Thursday morning at 11AM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Black and Bro. Tommy Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Clark passed away Tuesday morning August 24th at Lincoln Medical Center.He was a native of Marshall County, TN and the son of the late William Thomas and Beulah Smith Clark. Mr. Clark was employed at Avalon Dairies before beginning his career in 1951 with Southern Bell Telephone Company which later became Bell South Telephone Company. His telephone work was both a career and a hobby and even after his retirement in 1986 he was always happy to help people. He was a member of the Washington Street Church of Christ, a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a certified Master Gardener. His children, grandchildren and great granddaughter were dear to his heart.Survivors include his wife of 61 years Marjorie Milam Clark of Fayetteville, daughter, Amy Elizabeth Clark of Danville, AL., son Mark Anthony Clark and wife Laura of Fayetteville, grandchildren Megan Vaughn and husband Alex of Soddy Daisy, TN, Travis, Will and Sara Clark all of Fayetteville. Mr. Clark had one great granddaughter Blakeli Vaughn of Soddy Daisy, TN, one sister Marie Clark Tolbert of Goodlettsville, TN, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Honorary pallbearers will be active and retired Telephone Company employees.Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening 4-8 PM at HigginsFuneral Home.
