Curt will have MRI today

This from Marcia & David today... "Thank you. Please pray for good results from the MRI today. It is the first one we have had. It will tell us more about the damage and what we are up against. I am scared but have faith we will get a good report. Please forward on... Thanks" - Marcia Cannon I'm told he had a better night last night with no major problems. Continue to lift him up in prayer! -Jim

Keep Praying for Curt Cannon...

Church family,

David and Marcia have both expressed their overwhelming gratitude for the outpouring of love that has been shown for little Curt and their whole family throughout the week. They have definitely felt the love and support from this community and they are holding up well under their circumstances. David asked me to thank everyone I see because they are simply not able to thank everyone personally right now, but they so appreciate every thought, every card and especially every prayer. And they ask us to keep praying! Keep praying for little Curt.

His condition is some improved since Monday, though not as improved as they had hoped. They continue to wait and hold out hope. Yesterday (Thur) was particularly rough as some of his pressures spiked, but they are hopeful that today will be different.

I carried up the hundreds of notes written to him after our prayer service on Wednesday and Marcia was so appreciative to know that all of our young people are praying for him. Please continue to do so! In the meantime, you can join “Praying for Curt Cannon” on Facebook… and checking back to the E-News blog on the church’s website for updates. We are hopeful that there will be good news to report in the hours & days to come!

Praying for Curt

We are learning new meaning to what the Apostle Paul instructed the Christians at Thessolonica to do... "Pray without ceasing" he told hem. Our church family at Washington Street has been doing just that these last few days and we would like to ask the entire Christian community in Fayetteville to join us today in prayer for a little boy so dear to us . Curt Cannon, the 7 yr old son of David & Marcia Cannon was injured in an accident on Sunday evening, was med-flighted to Vanderbilt and remains there in very critical condition. David, Marcia, Curt and his sister, Amy Ann are dear members of our church family as are his grandparents, Curtis & Ruth Ashby. Our hearts go out to them, our thoughts are with them, and our prayers are covering them through this difficult time. They would cherish your prayers as well as they wait.

Tonight, following an abbreviated Bible class time, our church family with gather for a concentrated period of prayer.  We would love for anyone to join us around 7:30pm for this. We'll ask all of our teachers to excuse their classes at that time so that we can all gather in the auditorium to lift this precious little boy up in prayer. We would love for other churches to do the same.

God bless & thank you for your concern,

-Jim

Feel free to forward this link to anyone else you might think of who would join us in this prayer…

Curt Cannon

All throughout the night and through the day today many prayers have been lifted up for little Curt Cannon.  The 7 yr old son of David & Marcia Cannon was injured in an accident on Sunday evening, was med-flighted to Vanderbilt and remains there in very critical condition.  After visiting with the Cannons this morning and praying there with them, the family waits.  They are told the next 72 hours are critical.

A prayer meeting is being planned this afternoon at 3:30pm at Askins School and we are calling on the Christian community to keep this precious little boy in their prayers as well as his good family, David, Marcia and sister, Amy Anne.
