Update... Thursday, Nov. 5

Eric Yatsko remains in stable but very serious condition in Vanderbilt's trauma unit following an automobile accident on Tuesday morning. He sustained substantial internal injuries and underwent surgery on Tuesday to remove his spleen. He is responsive, but heavily sedated due to the extent of his injuries. Lisa and the kids, Stephen & Ashley covet your prayers. His condition last night was unchanged and we have not heard a report today.

Sandy George is collecting donations to help with "incidental expenses" for Lisa and the kids as she is spending much of her time by Eric's side and the children are with her brother, Mike, here in Fayetteville. Gift cards for eateries in and around Vanderbilt are being considered. Contact Sandy if you would like to help.

Lynda Pigg was admitted to St. Thomas yesterday following a heart attack. She underwent a stint procedure and is recovering. Keep her in your prayers also.

This week's bulletin

The VOICE of Washington Street is online now at http://www.washingtonstreetchurch.org/Bulletins/Nov%205,%202009.pdf

Thanks to everyone who helped out in last night’s fellowship with the Riverside congregation!  What a great period of singing we had… followed by some great fellowship.  Our Share Groups pulled together to provide some great ‘finger foods’ and everybody pitched in to help set up & clean up.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  You are an awesome church family to be a part of!

Have a great week!

Jim
